Sorry for the lack of updates, I am deciding between Zen Cart and Mal’s e-commerce or writing my own shopping cart script. My dilemma is I don’t have a lot of inventory but want to gauge the demand for my goods. Zen Cart is a pain to customise but there’s inventory management so people can’t buy stuff that are out of stock. On the other hand, Mal’s e-commerce is a breeze to customise but unable to track remaining stock. Writing my own script is too time consuming and tedious. Can’t wait to show what I’ve in-stored for you (pun intended), I’ll be back soon, promise!
I say go with Mal’s, keep track of inventory on your own, and then switch to Zen Cart if you really need to. I switched to Zen Cart at some point and I really loved it! But, my database crashed and I lost everything and I was having a lot of trouble re-setting up, so I switched back to Mal’s but kept a similar layout.
