Whee!!~~~ I’m leaving for Japan in another 24 hours! But before that, here’s part 1 of 12 tutorials I promised. You can use this tutorial to make a passport cover or any other book covers. It’s all hand sewn, no machine involved. It’s easy, I promise!

Taking my mind off the books for a bit (cramming for tomorrow’s paper) and fulfilling 01/12 of 2008’s craft book reviews resolutions. Stitch idees vol. 5 has so many inspiring craft ideas in cross-stitch and embroidery, I could have scanned cover to cover! These are some of my favorites.

Here’s another piece of good news, the husband and I will be traveling to JAPAN next week for the first part of our honeymoon! Yes, it’s so exciting and I look forward to taking lots of photos, the onsen, Disneyland/sea, food and shopping, and bringing back some pretty Japanese fabrics for the shop!
