There are a few sections in this book that are exceptionally close to my heart now that I have left the design industry to become a personal banker in a financial industry. My favorite sections in this book includes Books: where they discuss binding techniques, Housewares: very zakka-ish, Stickers: print your own and stick’em, reminds me of good old Stickernation that’s now defunct (I hope they bring it back one day), Wall Graphics: cut vinyl to decorate the walls in your home, and Zines: create your own indie zine.

FAQ

What’s an ISBN? What is the difference between ISBN-10 and ISBN-13?
You may use ISBN to locate the book that you want via Amazon.com or Amazon.co.jp, as well as your local libraries. Try it!

Defined by ISO 2108, International Standard Book Numbers are a unique identifier assigned to each edition of every published book and book-like product. After January 1, 2007, ISBN’s will be a 13-digit number, as opposed to the older 10-digit format.

What’s NLB Call No?
NLB Call No stands for National Library Board Call Number. You may visit the library and search for the book that you want using the NLB Call No. I am not sure if it will work for libraries outside of Singapore, please let me know if it does.

For library materials, a corresponding call number is given for every search item. These call numbers are assigned based on Dewey Decimal Classification system, which the Library uses to categorise and shelf its books.
