キユーピ (Kewpie)

Toys May 18th, 2007

I found my mum’s vintage Kewpie doll (キユーピ pronounced kyoo-pee). It had a hole in its plastic head. :( I’m not sure if it’s authentic but it has the trademark wings on its back. In Japan, it is popularised by being the mascot for a same brand mayonnaise. However, this doll was originally created by Rose Cecil O’Neill from Nebraska, USA.
