Protected: Disneysea

Author, Shopping, Travel March 23rd, 2008

I thought I’d update with a fraction of my photos of Japan this long weekend to make up for weekday-hiatuses to come. ;) We went to Disneysea instead of Disneyland as I’ve already been to Disneyland in California. There are many similar rides but the ones in Japan seem shorter and smaller. Love was in the air as Disney prepped itself for Valentine’s day! The park was absolutely beautiful and I pretended I was in Venice and Paris all at the same time!

Couple on a gwendola
One of my favorite photos of an unknowing Japanese couple on the gwendola, they’ve got the best seats for photo taking!

Tulips
They’re not stingy with all these gorgeous tulips…

Tower of Terror
The new Tower of Terror ride that wasn’t that scary after all. :D

If you’re there, I urge you to try the Black Pepper Popcorn! I wonder why nobody thought of that earlier! We had 2 tubs that day! They came in strawberry, chocolate and sea salt flavors too!

Black Pepper Popcorn
Yummy!

Toilets
One of their many themed toilet signs

Something that I bought in Disney, can you guess what is this? Answers and a couple more photos under cut. ;)

Back from Jakarta

Author, Travel March 12th, 2008

Hello everybody! I’m back! Came home to a bout of food poisoning from eating “clean” Singapore food and I’ve been on a soya bean milk diet the past few days. :( Too many photos from Japan to manage so I’ll update Jakarta’s first. It’s my first time on budget airline (Valuair) and I accompanied the husband to Jakarta for his business trip but the actual fact is, I was there on a holiday! Yay! :D

(1)A seriously outdated M1 advertisement (the service doesn’t work)
(2)Would you like my singnature on the arrival/departure card?
(3)Arriving at Jakarta airport
(4)A&W’s chicken soup (not in Singapore’s menu)

We took the Silver Bird taxi as recommended by our native friend because it is deemed the safest in Jakarta (so that you won’t be mugged). You can also take the Blue Bird taxi. After almost 2 hours of traffic, we finally arrived at JW Marriot Hotel Jakarta where I napped over a strawberry milkshake at the lounge while the husband attended to his business.

Fatigue’s kicking in again. (z_z) I’ll update in another couple of posts…

Husband and I took a walk around our future home on a bright, sunny Sunday afternoon. Nobody was around because it was a Sunday. The place still looks very bare except for some completed drain linings which husband says may not even be the actual drains for our estate. We’ve decided to visit this plot of land once every two months until completion in 2011/2012. :) More photos under the cut. Click on the thumbnails to view enlarged and kindly link back to http://blog.zakka-zakka.com/ if you wish to use the photos. And no hotlinking please!
