I have to agree absolutely that knitters can crochet too, and vice versa because I’m a crochet-er who knits! (I’ll be venturing into knitting cables soon!!) |
For those interested in learning how to make amigurumis (Japanese term for crochet stuffies), you can also pick it up by reading this book. Although the English and Japanese patterns are quite different but at least you’ll get the basics.

Even though it’s old, the patterns inside can be found in all the current Japanese craft magazines and books. In fact, it consolidated the most popular and common patterns that you’ll possibly want - bags (tote, cards-holder), kitchen items (table mat, apron), room items (pillows, room shoes), and simple clothes and stuffies! |
Comes with patterns sheet. This book is relatively cheap too!
Kawaii Couture Remake (JP)
| かわいいクチュールリメーク ISBN: 4579110250 ISBN-13: 978-4579110254 An interesting book that uses scarves, sweaters, men’s XL tees and handkerchiefs for reconstruction. I love the ingenious idea of inverting sleeves to make pockets for a skirt! These scans are a few of my favorite reconstruct projects in the book. |
