Singapore Arts Street
I was pleasantly surprised to find such an event located in the heartland of Hougang over the weekend.
I happened to have my digicam with me on my way to work and managed to catch Jolyon Caplin’s performance of alternating between playing the saxophone and the clarinet, and riding his unicycle.

Buskers dedicate their time and effort in bringing joy to the street, please show your support by giving. Thank you.
There was a mini photography and illustration exhibition, a couple of crafters selling handmade jewelry and pouches as well as a scrapbooking booth by the lovely Ereen. This is my first scrapbooking project and I think it went pretty well (thanks to Ereen).

Wanted to take a photo of Ereen and her booth but she roped me in too!

Random scrapbooking project, lol
And I couldn’t resist getting some gift tags, a magnetic bookmark and a couple of gift cards from the participants of Arts Street for my friends and sis.

Magnetic bookmark

Mini gift cards

Gift tags that can be used as bookmarks too
I hope to see more of these events that’s closer to heart than some arty-farty, avant garde fanfare in museums and whatnots.

Too bad i didnt come across this blog before. Great stuff you got here. Thanks.

Very nicely put together…
I am also an anti-arty-farty person…
Hence my off-the-wall performances on-the-street!
Nice pictures and descriptions, too. Glad my hat was on straight!
Thanks!
