It was one of the least rushed trips even though we booked it only a couple of days before. We were really lucky to get one of the roof garden suites on National Day at the last minute. We spent the evening watching the NDP on telly and going up and down the roof trying to catch a glimpse of the helicopters with the Singapore flags (successful!) and some fireworks (failed!).
The two level suite has a canopy bed on the first level with toilet and shower; and your very own private, outdoor jacuzzi and rain shower on the second level.
Cafe del Mar is right in front of the resort so you can enjoy the bass all day and all night. We had a bucket of beers the night before only to return to a bottle of complimentary champagne! Too much booze!! sayskull Gotta give credit to the husband for drinking most of it.
Pretty pricey at $450++ for a night but it’s worth going there once.

wow.. it looks really nice!!
so sad i couldnt get a room on the same week. did you manage to catch the fireworks?
bittercool: Yes, it is! “Beauty” comes with a price. ;)
Tricia: It’s alright you didn’t miss much cos we can’t see the fireworks from the resort. :p
Is that the jacuzzi? how come the other photo by another person shows like a pool? what is that then?
The captions describe the photos; I don’t know which photo or who took what photo you’re referring to. :p
how about the breakfast?is it any good? I heard there are renovations everywhere?
i’m afraid the breakfast was LOUSY! it’s one of the WORST breakfast-in-hotel i’ve ever had! they had an eggs section but they only serve sunny sides up (but i like scrambled!) and yes, there are renovations in a couple of small areas but not everywhere so that’s not so much a worry. ;)
wah, the breakfast that bad, i’m going to have a stay there soon? any good place to eat there?any of your personal recommendation?
We had teppanyaki at the Sakae Izakaya a stone’s throw away from the resort! :) Otherwise, you can get Sarpino’s Pizzeria at the Butterfly Park. The breakfast buffet at the Silver Shell Cafe (Rasa Sentosa) is superb, one of the best I’ve ever had in Singapore! I also like Trapizza but it’s more costly than Sarpino’s. All this talk about food is making me hungry!!
HAHA, seems wonderful, how much is the breakfast buffet at silver shell cafe? does it cost a bomb??Trapizza? how costly?
