Like I promised. Better late than never. Buttons tutorial from Basics of Sewing.
This book starts off by teaching you how to thread a needle and do some basic stitches. Chapter 2 is on sewing buttons, mending tears, simple alterations and embroidery. Chapters 3 and 4 have instructions on the usual zakka patterns like drawstring bags, quilted coasters and the likes. A few good tips on machine sewing in chapter 4. Overall, this book has clear instructions with illustrations and many nice pictures. One of my favorites!

So I sewed it back on this morning. This is about as close to crafting as I got since Singapore Arts Street in June ‘08! *Yikes*
Promise I’m gonna upload some excellent button tutorials from a Japanese craft book I have tonight.
