poupeegirl fashion brand community

Poupeegirl is a fashion brand community which allows you to customize your very cute Japanese avatar and also to post photos of your fashion buys, sorting them by brands and categories. The site is loosely translated to English which reads funny at times but all the better for the non-Japanese readers ya? v(^_^)v

Learn Japanese

Learn Japanese @ Japancast.net

After receiving my new iPod Touch, apart from using it mainly to share my wedding photos and videos with family and friends, I’ve been listening to some podcasts by Japancast.net.

Firstly, and most importantly, it’s free! Sounds too good to be true? But it is true! Next, you get a native teacher, Hitomi, and her American husband, Paul, speaking in both Japanese and English in their lessons. Both Hitomi and Paul also give their personal opinions on culture shock in Japanese and American perspectives. The lessons are very light hearted and I find myself smiling widely on the train or on the bus while listening to their podcasts. So if you’re interested in picking up the Japanese language, go download now! Don’t forget to check their website for very interesting posts of things in Japan and Hitomi’s Japanese blog snippets with English translations.

Taking advice from Hitomi to blog a bit in Japanese everyday;

皆さん、こんにちは!
(みなさん、こんにちは!)
お元気ですか?
(お げんき ですか?)
ふりがな英和辞典が欲しいです。
(ふりがなえいわじてんがほしいです。)

Swap-bot Website Reviews

Websites November 12th, 2007

Simone’s Butterfly
Simone loves to swap and I really like her digital scrapbooking swaps, but read on and you’ll find very personal entries about her life and her family.

the aesthetic onion
No, you’re not gonna get any tips on how to make your onions look better from Jessi’s blog but you are going to feast on lots of her inspiring crafts. Check out her version of paper flowers or buy some of her handmade goodies from her Etsy shop!

The Pondering Sheep
Lindsay loves to swap! Check out all the different types of swaps that she has participated in!

Fitz’s Stitches
Sue has this amazing thing going on to make 101 things in 1001 days! Apart from that, she makes lovely cross-stitch handicrafts. Cross-stitch is probably one of the earliest handmade crafts that I came across when I was less than 10. It is so simple to make, yet the design can be sooo complicated too!
