Shopping in Japan

Shopping, Travel January 31st, 2008

It’s the winter sale and apart from snagging a 900yen cotton cashmere top and a pair of 900yen ballet flats from Gap, here are my most expensive buys:

Tinkerbell earrings from Disney Sea. I like them so much that when I saw them that I forgot about my allergy! Luckily, they’re rhodium with surgical steel posts.

Majolica Majorca in Japan

Author, Beaute, Shopping, Travel January 27th, 2008

Majolica Majorca (MM) can be found everywhere in Japan because it’s a drugstore brand and there are plenty of drugstores (e.g. Matsumoto KiYoshi) in Japan. How I wish Singapore’s drugstores (aka pharmacies or Watson’s) carries MM instead of Silkygirl. :p

MM loot for my dearest sister in Washington, photo as promised!

My sis bought me a whole lot of stuff when she went to Hokkaido last year and didn’t get any for herself. This time, it’s the other way round! Now we both own a nice set of MM cosmetics! :) Don’t you just looove the glamorous packaging? I don’t really like their liquid pen liners because they’re too runny, the rest of the stuff are pretty good. The only stuff I haven’t tried are their foundations.

I also got my sister a funky black beaded bracelet from the temple for luck, and a pink one for mum.

Mich: Look forward to them flying over soon!

Back from Japan

Author, Etc., Photowalk, Travel January 27th, 2008

Hello everybody! I’m back from Japan and it was a really wonderful experience! We visited Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka and visited Universal Studios Japan and Tokyo Disney Sea Park! We took the Hollywood Dream The Ride and it’s possibly one of the best rides I’ve ever taken! I’ve never screamed more!! :D You get to choose 1 out of 5 tracks to listen to while taking the ride, how clever is that?! I chose Osaka Lover by Dreams Come True and now it’s on repeat on my Winamp player.

Listen to it here:

The Tower of Terror at Disneysea was a little disappointing and not very scary though; all the rides in Disneysea seem smaller and less scary compared to Disneyland LA.

Almost 1000 photos to go through, will update with more soon!
