Warning: Image heavy, long post.

Sorry I can’t update as frequently as before. I’m getting into a new routine of waking up at 630am (snoozing till almost 7am) and ending the day before 6pm. I hate bathing and washing my hair at night and I don’t blow dry. Finally collected my sewing machine and I hope to finish up the pouch for my dear sister and also wrap up the tutorial. The only indulgence I have is updating my pouppeegirl and trying to complete Professor Layton on my DS.

With a new job = higher financial power = lemmings. :p

I’ll buy the Yone x Cheki if anybody wants to buy my 2nd hand instax mini 25 for US$70. Maybe I’ll list it on eBay when I’m free.

New phones

Last week, I collected my hubby’s new Nokia 6110 Navigator before I travelled to JB alone! It’s a phone with quirky GPS functions and voice guidance, the caller’s name will be read out when the phone rings too! It was my first time going to JB alone and it was quite an adventure going in at night. It was pouring and I made a new friend, we walked to the Singapore customs because the bus was caught in a terrible jam. It took me 3 hours to finally reach the JB customs.

Paul & Joe Beaute Lipstick

No luck with the Isetan sale; I bought two bras, a P&J special edition lipstick (055) and a Ralph Lauren shirt only. The P&J lipstick wasn’t even on discount and there was only a measely 10% for the shirt.

Whilst flashing my mobile at the SE service centre, I came across the Sony T2. An extremely captivating advertising campaign that sent my heart aflutter! I can’t find any excuses reasons to get it since my old T3 is still serving me well. I fiddled with the touch screen T2 with face and smile recognition with no subject to try out the functions, the camera is very bulky considering today’s technologies, but love is blind. ;)

Was doing some research for what to wear to work and I came across these two very useful articles from Lifescript.com that I thought I’d share:
Dress for Success
Office Fashion: Basics for Every Closet

Alright, to wrap up this long entry of randomness, I’d like to tell you that I also bought the day and night eye creams from Kawaii Tokyo. Let’s see if they work at the end of 15 days. :D

Back from Jakarta

Author, Travel March 12th, 2008

Hello everybody! I’m back! Came home to a bout of food poisoning from eating “clean” Singapore food and I’ve been on a soya bean milk diet the past few days. :( Too many photos from Japan to manage so I’ll update Jakarta’s first. It’s my first time on budget airline (Valuair) and I accompanied the husband to Jakarta for his business trip but the actual fact is, I was there on a holiday! Yay! :D

(1)A seriously outdated M1 advertisement (the service doesn’t work)
(2)Would you like my singnature on the arrival/departure card?

(4)A&W’s chicken soup (not in Singapore’s menu)

We took the Silver Bird taxi as recommended by our native friend because it is deemed the safest in Jakarta (so that you won’t be mugged). You can also take the Blue Bird taxi. After almost 2 hours of traffic, we finally arrived at JW Marriot Hotel Jakarta where I napped over a strawberry milkshake at the lounge while the husband attended to his business.

Fatigue’s kicking in again. (z_z) I’ll update in another couple of posts…

Shopping in Japan

Shopping, Travel January 31st, 2008

It’s the winter sale and apart from snagging a 900yen cotton cashmere top and a pair of 900yen ballet flats from Gap, here are my most expensive buys:

Tinkerbell earrings from Disney Sea. I like them so much that when I saw them that I forgot about my allergy! Luckily, they’re rhodium with surgical steel posts.
