Available at our NLB
Craft books in a library near you
This is waaay overdue seeing I took this photo on 29th February (leap year!). I won’t hesitate paying SGD1.55 to reserve a book from the NLB and if I like the book alot, I will buy it. So far I don’t recall owning any English craft books. 
You can find the following books at our local libraries and while they’re excellent books, I still feel that English craft books tend to be too wordy and not as “pretty” as Japanese craft books; I’m biased.

There’s a new craft book recently and it’s not in Singapore yet, I have pretty high hopes for this one and I’m putting it in my wishlist!

D.I.Y. Design it Yourself
| D.I.Y. Design it Yourself (Design Handbooks) by Ellen Lupton ISBN-10: 1568985525 There are a few sections in this book that are exceptionally close to my heart now that I have left the design industry to become a personal banker in a financial industry. My favorite sections in this book includes Books: where they discuss binding techniques, Housewares: very zakka-ish, Stickers: print your own and stick’em, reminds me of good old Stickernation that’s now defunct (I hope they bring it back one day), Wall Graphics: cut vinyl to decorate the walls in your home, and Zines: create your own indie zine. |

This is the other brand new craft book which I bought in Japan, you’ll be getting a new copy in a sealed plastic bag (I scanned my own copy). Issue 2 is all about felting and there are felting ideas, techniques as well as patterns in the book.
